During the winter break from college, Touma and Yuzuki return to their hometown Umekoji Ryokan for the first time in 15 years and are reunited. Touma's grandmother Chizuru, the proprietress of the ryokan, has been keeping Toma from returning home due to her busy schedule, but this time she makes a reservation for him as a guest and forces him to come back.
However, Toushin feels something strange about the ryokan. The next morning, Yuzuki was straddling Toushin with cat ears and a tail! It was possession by “Mao” and “Miyabi,” the gods protecting the inn.
The long-established ryokan has been in financial crisis for the past few years, and the gods command Toushin and his friends to restore the ryokan. A precious place to return to after 15 years and for the sake of those they love Touma and Yuzuki decide to struggle to rebuild the ryokan.
